Opera on the Go: Nixon in China

Opera Santa Barbara's lecture series continues with
stage director Peter Pawlik discussing his upcoming production of John Adam's controversial opera, "Nixon in China" for Long Beach Opera. Pawlik is an authority on contemporary opera and has worked with singers such as Domingo, Pavarotti, Carreras, Hampson and Dessay. His Austrian and Italian premieres of "Nixon" were highly acclaimed. He will play selections from the opera and talk about the composer's feelings about this profound historical event.
